Tianci Lu

Highly acclaimed music producer Tianci Lu is a multifaceted creator in all mediums of music. Her range of works in mediums such as pop music, TV series, commercials, and musicals have all garnered widespread public attention and praise for her musical intuition. Her abilities as a producer are also matched by her abilities in piano performance as well. Tianci has immense versatility in genres, and utilizes her skillsets in a wide variety of media to creatively construct impressive scores and melodies from the stories and feelings that she wishes to sonically portray. 

Tianci’s journey in the music profession truly began upon her graduation from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2020, followed by a Master's in Jazz piano at the California Institute of the Arts. Her high attainment in music education helped her refine her music production skills and allowed her to deepen her understanding of many music styles. She gained immense widespread recognition for her work on the famous TV drama “Nixi zhi touxinqianjin”, where her music beautifully captured the show's complex emotional tone.

Tianci’s talents extend far beyond the borders of film and television, as she’s also produced music for commercial projects, including an anniversary celebration for CIFI Holding Group and a theme song for Baxter International. Lu has ventured into cultural projects too, such as the play *Magic Martin* and the animated film *Shou Zhi*, where she infused traditional Chinese music. In her musical theater endeavors, Tianci has also produced all of the music for the show “What if”, which premiered in Shanghai to wide acclaim and toured all the notable cities of mainland China. She has also worked on various video game soundtracks as well, most notably the popular Chinese mobile game MiLu produced by MiLu Game Company Limited. Tianci is also fiercely passionate about the beneficial effect music can have on our lives, and has even collaborated on initiatives like "How to Treat Tinnitus with Sound”, blurring the lines between music and medicine in way that can help those who suffered from this condition. 

In 2023, she released her jazz album, *Oh, It’s Raining*, which skillfully blends jazz with modern elements of RnB, Neo-Soul, and Pop. These works thoroughly document her outstanding performance capabilities as well as her innate ability to perfectly construct smooth melodic lines in the moment. This album quickly gained traction on popular streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, and led to her becoming an important name in the Los Angeles jazz scene, where she frequently is called to play at the highest regarded venues in Los Angeles such as the Hotel Cafe and the Troubadour.
